Reading through The Travels of Sir John Mandeville at the mo. It's a gas little book written in 1356 which also happens to be the most famous travel narrative of the Middle Ages, kicking the medieval arse of Marco Polo. I especially love some of the 14th century woodcuts included with the edition I'm reading. Here are some of them... Michael Palin's nothing on this fella I'm telling ya.
